Sodium hexametaphosphate (NaPO3)n as a nonlinear polyphosphate, its degree of polymerization n is typically 6-20, and this special topological structure gives it three core properties:
- Dynamic chelating effect: Its helical molecular chain can adaptively encapsulate divalent/trivalent metal ions (such as Ca2+, Fe3+ etc.), with a chelating capacity of 300-400mg CaCO3/g
- Interface activation behavior: A nanoscale adsorption layer is formed at the solid-liquid interface, and the Zeta potential can be adjusted to -30mV to -50mV
- pH response characteristics: It remains stable within the pH range of 4 to 9. Beyond this range, controllable depolymerization occurs
